Our Client is seeking two proactive and self-motivated Senior Underground Geologists to join their team.

About the Position:

• Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness and company Safety and Health Policy
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures to ensure work is carried out in an environmentally sustainable manner
• Ensure effective communication of work and issues/conditions status takes place with delegate prior to departure from site
• Develop continuous improvement targets for the function and drive and measure achievement of these targets
• Organise the work of the team to ensure all functions and services are provided efficiently, while providing rewarding work, with clear accountabilities and authorities
  Safe and efficient management of all the companies underground geology activities
• Coordinate all geological, grade control and drilling activities in the underground operation, ensuring best practice techniques
• Monitor quality, quantity, timing and systems. Identify and diagnose areas which need to improve and develop solutions
• Develop and apply working practices and procedures as guidelines to achieve the optimum operation of the mining area, grade control and related services. Constantly review these with the underground geology team, testing and continually improving
  Prepare, adhere to, and report on operating and capital budgets for the underground geology function

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years experience with archeaen narrow vein gold deposits
• Strong structural geology background
• Good understanding of Geostatistics and resource Estimation
• 3D modelling experience preferable with VULCAN
• Abiliy to "add value" across all aspects of a complex UG mine

This position will play a major role in supervising, mentoring and training a team of Mine and Project Geologists.
