Our client's vision is to become a leading independent Australian iron ore company with a portfolio of production assets, located within Western Australia.
They are looking for a suitably qualified Metallurgist or Chemical Engineer to take on the Senior Role of Operations Process Manager.
This is a critical role within the organisation and you will be responsible for developing the operational readiness requirements of the fixed plant providing leadership to the process engineering team and providing technical advice to ensure the process design, implementation, productivity and quality goals of the project are met.
The key responsibilities include:
- Sign off on mass balance, PFD, PID and PD Criteria.
- Ensure the process engineering aspects of the project are clearly defined and are approved by the appropriate personnel.
- Review the operating manuals developed for the project.
- Manage the process design work undertaken by the implementation contractor in the areas of scope compliance productivity, quality and progress.
- Overview the development of all engineering design to support the objective in providing a safe working environment during operations.
- Assist with activities associated with pre-commissioning, commissioning, hand-over and ramp-up.
The successful candidate will meet the following key criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy or mineral processing
- Excellent analytical and interpretation skills
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Significant experience in managing large mining plants
