MINING ENGINEERING: 6861 - Alternate Underground Manager - Closed
Our client is seeking an experienced, proactive and self-motivated Alternate Underground Manager to join their team. In this position you will be in charge of all the operational and planning aspects of the Underground Mine.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Alternate Underground Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Promote and participate in the development of site safety policies
- Fulfill statutory duties of Underground Manager
- Direct day-to-day control of underground mining activities
- Supervise and manage the underground mining department
- Ensure all underground mine plans, schedules and forecasts are kept current
- Carry out and direct project work and feasibility studies as required
- Compile periodic reports including forecasts, annual budgets and reserve statements
Requirements:
- West Australian First Class Mine Manager's Certificate
- Substantial mining experience essential, predominantly underground
- Proven track record in safety, production, project management and team building
- Competent in Excel, Word and Access
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- FMI qualifications and experience with Vulcan will be beneficial.
