MINING ENGINEERING: 6872- Drill and Blast /Short Term Planning - Open Pit - Northern Territory - FIFO 12/9 roster - Closed
Our Client operates an open pit operation in the Northern Territory. The Company controls or has interests in tenements which have potential to produce significant amounts of ore for the export market. Close to Darwin.
Their open pit mine currently has a requirement for a Mining Engineer with Drill & Blast/Short Term Planning experience.
As a member of the team you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the drill & blast functions, as well as the short term planning and day to day production duties of the mining operation to ensure desired results are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing reports as required
- Liaising with production personnel
- Designing and scheduling Drill & Blast plans and activities to ensure blasting efficiency
Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining or Civil) and previous experience in a mining environment.
The roster is drive in from Darwin if local, or FIFO 12/9
There is a pleasant accommodation village in the town with a gym and internet facilites supplied.
