Our Client owns and operates a colliery with reserves of over 300 million tonnes of coking coal and located in the Southern Coalfields of New South Wales. An opportunity is currently available for a Manager of Mechanical Engineering who is goal orientated, has a strong background in the mineral processing industry, has the ability to bring a team together to achieve results and possesses great communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring mining equipment and infrastructure operates safely at specified efficiency and in accordance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.
For the successful candidate, this will be a unique and exciting role to be part of a team involved in the expansion of existing operations into a world class 4Mtpa mine.
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the position will have overall statutory and mechanical engineering responsibility for the mine, including safety, engineering strategy and financial management of the department.
