Our client is a growth-oriented gold mining and exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of gold properties in emerging markets. Our clients objective is to build shareholder value and to establish themselves as a senior gold producer by maximizing the potential of our current properties and leveraging our financial strength and experience to acquire new long-life, low-cost projects. Currently, they maintain 100% interests in two gold producing mines.
The position of Reserve and Resource Geologist is responsible for ensuring mineral reserves and resources are estimated to proper standards on an annual basis at operating mines and advanced projects within the company. The successful applicant is responsible for the evaluation of the mineral reserves/resources and exploration potential of possible acquisitions and joint ventures.
With diverse international operations and geological environments, the key objective is to provide a sound valuation and accurate disclosure of the mineral asset base of the company. A second key objective is to support business development by being able to effectively compile, analyze and evaluate geological, mineral reserve, mining, and economic information from a very broad range of sources in order to make sound recommendations regarding the geological potential of specific gold business opportunities.

The nature of this position requires the successful applicant to have a strong technical background, be thoroughly knowledgeable of all operations and advanced projects, and have an excellent working relationship with the senior exploration, mine geology, operating, project engineering and business development personnel in the Company.
