Our client is currently seeking a French speaking Chief Geologist to join their African DRC project.
Chief Geologist - Base Metals - Open Pit
Description:
Chief Geologist Reporting to the Mine Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Management of Ore Resources, Production Grade Control, Production Reconciliation and Near-Mine Exploration
Direct and support all geological and geotechnical disciplines including external consultants
Lead and develop a team of geoscientists
Qualifications:
BSc or higher degree in Geology
+10 years working experience in a production environment
+2 years in a Managerial Position
Proficient use of Surpac or similar modeling software
Qualify as a "Competent Person" to the JORC Code and NI 43-101
Roster:
10 weeks on 3 weeks off FIFO Australia/NZ.
Living Arrangements:
Conditions very good, canteens and living quarters (single and houses) established on site - laundry, DSTV, Internet.
